Allergy Relief

An allergy is any substance that causes a reaction in the body’s immune system that wouldn’t normally cause that kind of reaction. When this happens, the allergen (which can be any number of things) enters the body and causes the antibodies to react by attaching to mast cells.

If the allergen is able to get to the mast cells, then the immune system will send out signals to other parts of the body using histamine and other substances that trigger a variety of responses. These responses could include inflammation, itchiness and swelling. There are some supplements that can be used to fight the effects of allergies on the body, and some of the most popular and effective are herbs, such as stinging nettle, tinospora cordifolia and nigella sativa. These provide powerful relief from allergies. Royal jelly and manuka honey may be useful as well in alleviating the symptoms of an allergy attack.
