You may have never considered using oils in detox program, but they are actually excellent for getting rid of toxins and we will show you how.

Your body is able to expel toxins on its own in a lot of different ways. Toxins pass out of your urine, they go through your skin, they are expelled by your lymph glands and respiratory system. These get rid of internal toxins very well, but sometimes your body needs a little help. This is especially true when you have been eating a lot of food that isn’t good for you.

This is where essential oils can help you.

We are going to look at the best essential oils for detoxing and show you some of their various benefits.

You may do best with a detox program using essential oils. If you do this a few times a year, then you can get the body clean in no time at all. Some essential oils work far better at detoxing your body than others do, and over time, a few of them have gained a reputation for fighting toxin accumulation in the body.

Lavender Oil – Usually, lavender oil is used to help people relax or to disinfect something. It’s a favourite essential oil for a lot of people, and if you use it in your bath or as part of an aromatherapy session, it works wonders at detoxing your body.

Peppermint Oil – This is probably the one essential oil that everyone can recognise by its scent. You can put some into your bath or just take little to help you relax and to detox. It is most effective, however, when it is combined with other essential oils with complementary benefits.

Rosemary Oil – This particular essential oil works on your digestion, boosts your circular system and reduces inflammation. All of that helps your body get rid of toxins faster and more effectively.

Lemon Oil – You can use lemon oil as a body cleanser, since it is sharp and acidic. It is also pleasantly scented, which makes it ideal for a body wash. It’s a good addition to anyone’s detoxification program.

Grapefruit Oil – This is another citric oil that is excellent as a body wash. It has a powerful scent and taste, but you do need to know that it may be phototoxic. It’s better if you don’t go outside in sunlight for about 24 hours after using it, just to be safe. If you use it correctly, however, it can get rid of the toxins that have built up in your body.

Juniper Oil – You can use this oil to calm your nerves, get rid of tension and let your body more easily expel toxins on its own.

Detoxing isn’t just about getting rid of toxins forcefully. If you allow your mind and body to relax, then your body can go about its normal activities. It will be able to focus more on getting rid of toxins rather than having to deal with your stress and elevated blood pressure. You may also want to massage your body using these oils, and you can combine a few together for added benefit and for unique aromas. You should always avoid applying essential oils directly to the skin, though, if you are doing a massage. It’s best to use a carrier, such as almond oil or jojoba to perform the massage with.

If you are looking to use essential oils regularly or you have never used essential oil before and you want some advice, you can seek out an experienced aromatherapist. This is epically important if you are nursing, pregnant or ill. You may want to to employ vaporisers to transport the oils into your body more easily and more efectively.
